During the first architectural research in 1984-1986, it was discovered that the apparently consistent 19th century street façade of the building hides ample history that reaches into the 16th century. The building was formed by connecting two buildings owned by different owners. On the northern side of the site the shape of the 16th century house was identified and the remains of the eastern façade were discovered. On the southern side of the existing building, separate remaining parts of the 17th century building were uncovered. In the beginning of the 20th century, the first floor was constructed on top of the building and the façades were formed.
