The architectural research which started in 1960 has uncovered traces of five different time periods: the construction periods of the 15th and 16th century, the early reconstructions of the 17th and 18th century, and the reconstructions of 1850 and 1928. After the removal of the façade plastering and the shell mortar layers of later periods, a lot of the remaining Gothic masonry was discovered in the western, southern and northern façades. The research has fully revealed the building’s structure, wall construction, thickness, masonry techniques, surface textures and finishes. The location of all three ceiling joists was discovered. After compiling the hypothesis and the results of the research, the bay window was reconstructed. The reconstruction of the western (back) façade and staircase annex were conducted with a lack of exact data.
